the 44s, Sleek and extremely nice in the hand. I own several and Colleen has her favorite 4" model 29. The Redhawk is the work horse, or Clydesdale. Beefy and almost indestructible (nothing is idiot proof), and I put the SBH in the middle. Back a hundred years ago I started in silhouette shooting and used a 44 Super Blackhawk. For those 200 meter rams I loaded it up pretty stiff with some of Lee Jurras' favorite loads. Once a year I would send it back to Ruger to bring it back into specs from the battering during the past year.
What this drivel comes down to is each have their own characteristics and their own good and maybe not quite so good points. But I sure shot a lot of them thru the years. I still have several 29s and 629s but over the past few years I have carried my custom 429 GNR on my hip when hunting. Sort of my 44 Magnum Magnum.
