Hornady FTX ammo uses there brass and it is different in a lot of cases. No pun intended. I personally don't like FTX because of my experience with it on game. It is a great, albeit expensive, target round. I have reloaded Hornady brass that was loaded with FTX bullets and reloaded them with other bullets and they would not cycle right in lever actions. Some times the rim thickness is more on the FTX hornady brass.
