sort of a universal thing. (They do for shotguns) That would help so many modified guns. They'd make a mint off varied sight heights and types. I see a flame throwing 16" in your future. They make some type of scope base. I know one that replaces the rear sight. May the force be with you beating THOSE pins out. But it would make a cool "Scout" rig. We did that with a fantastically well made Steyr 1891 Argentine 7.65 Mauser. Used an old 3X Lobo scope and mount. Shot fantastic. We also rebarreled it to 7x57. The package was light, handy (even with the straight bolt handle and standard military safety), and accurate, with many deer to it's credit since.
