Was privileged to meet with old Bill Ruger himself. I got to shoot the P85 that was written up .. had most of the slide cut away ... fired thousands of rounds through it without any issues.

Saw the "Jeep Test" .. where they toss the gun on concrete and drive a jeep back and forth over it for awhile. Mud .. sand .. water .. overloads. They took one P85 and threaded the inside of the barrel and screwed a stud into the barrel and proceeded to fire it ... with no issues other than the bullet not exiting.

Those were fun days.
