during hog killing time doing them all in with a single shot .22 Short. Then I was in TN when a REAL Russian came in wiht eyes wide after shooting a TN Razorback point blank right between the eyes with a 7.62x54R Sporter (nice one too) with a hot 150 gr. JSP. It bounced off and really made the hog pissed! He changed his tune.

I also know of one taking some .475 LB JHP and not caring much, and .45-70. (Bear and a fine Gentleman from TN) I guess it's the specific hog and where you shoot them under what conditions. I shot a sheep 5 times with a powerful revolver and watched dirt fly up beyond it. I think it died of old age, or boredom, right before my eyes.

I like a big heavy solid constructed bullet that will shoot through nose to tail, and keep going. If you are the one doing the dancing, it's your thang. I like single alloy with a big flat nose.
