often as do Kase and I and none of us have ever complained nor noticed the blast as far as I know. I have probably shot 5000 rounds thru mine, maybe more and never noticed any blast. The barrel is 24" long so it is over 2 feet from your face. In a pistol there probably is a blast but not that I have felt in a rifle.
