in .45ACP using the CE Harris RCBS die(s), quite labor intensive BUT the shells worked interchangeably with FMJ in the magazine, had a snake/small game killing power range of 20-25ft where it still also was at full choke percentage (70%) patterns. Been years since I loaded any, but was great for the woods where the snake load cycled the gun and FMJ after that. Those used a cut down shotshell wad and overshot homemade wad.
