After awhile you know how hot you want the lead pot ... but I am sure one of the laser-type would work just fine.

I cast fast enough that I usually leave my Lyman 20 pound pot on high. I run two molds most of the time. When you get them hot it is easy to fill one and set it down letting the sprue set while you pick up the other and fill it then set it down and pick up the first, cut the sprue, dump the bullet or bullets, fill it, set it down and pick up the second and cut the sprue and dump it, then fill it and set it down ... In a short time you have two big piles of bullets ..
