Lansky works great, but I build knives and use the work sharp belt sharpener, when you get into some of harder steel it will save you a lot of time and 3 or 4 passes on the fine belt and they will shave again. I also process wild game we did over 600 deer ,antelope and several elk,so I sharpen alot of knives
