In the case. I found some Hornady XTP 350’s that are 0.499” exactly and verified. The sized Hornady brass in LEE full length size dies has an ID of 0.4965-0.497”. That’s not enough pull on the bullet. I can insert and pull a bullet out of a sized case. The brass is about 0.012” thick (each side). I made one and almost roll crimped it. The bullet can’t push back into the case for 28 grs. of H110 but I don’t think it will pull out with fingers, but I can spin it in the case.
Something is just not right. First reflex is to call LEE.
Anybody ever hear of anything with .50 AE?
I may powder coat the XTP’s to bump them up to .501” or so.
