You have to have a 38 Super barrel plus the slide needs to

be for a 38 Super. Years ago Kase and Colleen were both shooting in the combat shoots in Florida. We built each of them a hi cap 38 Super. The people they were shooting against didn't even pick up their fired brass as they were loading them HOT to make the power factor needed to compete with the guys shooting 45 ACP. Nobody picked up their fired brass as it was bulged so bad as to be not usable a second time. I would spend hours just about every evening loading 38 Super for them to practice with and for the shoots every mid week and weekend. Probably 90% of the brass they shot was only good for one firing. The extractor and ejectors were replaced pretty often also. They both ran thru probably 200 rounds of 38 Super brass per week per person. Neither of them still shoot in the combat shoots so I am not familiar with any of the new specialty 38 Super rounds.
