I’ve shot skeet and clays but never trap. There are several shotguns around here but most true hunting or tactical types. I think I have all gauges except for 10. Of course I’d not even try .410, 16 is out, so 20 or 12. The 16 yd. head start is a little daunting for a slow poke like me. Then you back up each shot!

I have a 1100 standard frame 20 with a 28” Full vent rib fixed choke. One of the 12’s is a Mossberg 500 Turkey gun with 24” and screw chokes. Another 12 1100 but very tactical, ditto an 870 12. I’m leaning the 1100 20 but the old Mossberg can do anything.

It’s a vendor sponsored team fun event, but I don’t want to embarrass myself. Any tips for a newbie?
