I forget teh type of OU action it's called, sort of a Greener cross-bolt type. The action opens more completely where the bottom barrel is easily accessed. I like that. The engraving and checkering is a bit more coarse but It is well made. My skeet buddies poo-poo'd it saying replacement repair parts would be too difficult to find. But I was not likely to shoot it to destruction like they did. However it was a hunting gun and it recoiled a bit more. Ditto the Ruger Red Label that was not near as nice as I thought it would be.
I finally found a Browning Citori Skeet gun that weighed 8.5 Lbs and was a delight. It helped my swing and absorbed the recoil better. But my Skeet biddies died, literally all of them!
If I were wanting to get a new shotgun to use for gaming and hunting both I'd likely hunt up a Valmet. I like them and they fit me well. I also like the Remington that is a like top locking action but they are said to be a bit porky for a hunter. I'm not really in a mood for a $1000+ used shotgun for limited use. So I'll have fun with what I have.
