was the use of small non-steel parts. These were parts that could have been plastic for all that mattered. Things like the follower in the mag tube and a few other small non-important parts. But the people thought they knew better than Winchester and started raising hell about the inferior parts in the post-64 Winchester model 94s. Just like the morons that complain about the JM stamped on the Marlin barrels, that supposedly this was a secret mark that Marlin put on all the good barrels and that any Marlin that didn't have the JM stamp was inferior. Typical moron mentality.
