Looking at some of my carry revolvers now coats are out

The baseline these days is the fact a fully loaded Glock 19 (16 rounds) weighs exactly 31 oz. The little chunky SP101 is still a delight with (5) .357’s in it, but still about 4 ounces less.

The delightful 4” M66 is right at 36 oz. even with my goofy grips. I’ve thought of having it round-butted, increasing grip options.

Then what’s not to like about a 4” 686. It’s a 7-shooter plus. The Ken Ahrens grips are great. He stopped making them after his wife passed about 4 yrs. ago. It’s right up there with the 1911 Govt. in both capacity and weight. But it’s a great all round wheelgun. They even factory drill and tapped them for scope mounting, under the rear sight (FYI). I just need to carry and shoot them more.
