I am thinking of retiring my Star PD after

carrying it since 1977. It is showing some wear and tear and I don't want to give up on it while it is still in good working condition. I am thinking of several options but haven't made up my mind quite yet on another lightweight Commander size 1911 or a small to medium frame revolver. There are a lot of each available but some of them are plagued with small problems and I don't need even small problems in a carry gun. My PD has been perfect for almost 50 years but like me it is getting a bit weary. This is just in the thinking stage right now.
