Blanking dies

The set comes with 2 dies a round over die and a star die.
I use the star die to make XTP type bullets. It takes a combo of unrelated dies to made a good bullet. I use one die to swage the front of the bullet to match the cylinder diameter. The shoulder of another die to make it pointy. A decapping die to make a hollow point ( to match the rhinestone)

Random notes.
Always leave the spent primer in. When I leave it out the lead separates from the case upon firing.

I have converted lee molds so I can pour lead into the case but my bullets are to inconsistent. Now I just use a smaller previously cast bullet and swage it into my annealed case using a die that has the same inside diameter of the finished bullet.

As I write this my wife and I are about to head into Muscat Oman for lunch and some crazy shopping. Here is a pic of the harbor. [image]
