A carb is ineficient with all the overlap

of the stair stepping circuits spraying too much fuel as it transitions from iddle, slow, mid-range and full throttle. But it is "mechanical" and there is no electronic brain to go haywire that depends on sensors that can also go awry.

BUT, they have some great bolt on "fuel injection" systems for your Bronco that are easy to install and get running that replaces your carb. If you ever decide to do it they claim much greater fuel efficiency (due to a remedy of what I mentioned) as well as an increase in performance.

Blake or some other REAL mechanic types would have a better perspective on it but fuel injection on a more simplified platform can be really handy. As long as it is just the fueling, and not interfaced with 100 other ECM functions on the main computer. FWIW
