reaction. The recoil is a reaction to the action of pushing that heavier bullet faster up that barrel. The 510 GNR ballistics are softer as it is a softer rounded pressure curve, like a rainbow. The 475 Linebaugh has a sharper recoil curve, more like a sharp spike. The 510 GNR may end up pointing straight up but it normally won't come back at your nose. The 475 LB has that sharp recoil that comes right back at your nose, just like the 454 Casull.
