handgun sights dovetailed into the top of them. I have found several sets on Ebay and Gunbroker for $25 or so. IF the scope turret is not too tall, like a Leupold etc. (they work really well but others do too) you can see right over the top of them and shoot irons. They work perfectly. Two versions, one with a fully adjustable rear and the other with a drift windage "fixed" rear. For lack of a better description. THe front is made into the front ring but you can grind it down to raise impact.
I have bought the rings and swapped tops on another Millett ringset to "make" the combo I needed. It could easily work on the Ranch gun. No real metal mods and for way less than $50 you are cooking with gas.
This is a set on one of my big bore Reeder's, a .450 GNR Encore. *Bottom is a .429 GNR tube with a 30mm 2X Tasco.
