They have ever made brass case normal ammo for it. Don’t think they’ve imported any. It shoots a longer bullet than a 5.56 which has been engineered to yaw and tumble upon impact. Russians you know. All the ammo I’ve found for it is steel case. I’ve reloaded a few .45 ACP and I remember a couple .30 Carbine (I think) steel cased ammo just to see if I could do it. It worked fine but I did not continue the practice for fear I’d die wear. I only had a couple cases and noted they were boxer primed. Just goofing around.
