The 308 would get the nod. The extra speed supposedly makes it easier to hit at longer ranges 400+ yards. I still like to get as close as I can before pulling the trigger. I have seen some cross canyon shots made out west with the 300s and im sure the extra speed makes it easier.Hey,
If you can shoot the 300s as good as a 308 then why not use the 300 for the extra reach?
