May loads will generally not be "full" potential

and I know "then why have a .454". I am currently looking at my 300 gr. FPGC mould. I've water dropped before but you can also get them too hard and cause issues. I've played there before. That 300 gr. running up to about 1400 fps is fine for me. My .429 GNR (9.5") shoots the 310 gr. at 1600 fps and that's not too bad for hunting bigger critters. It bucks, but never threatens to smack me in the face or stings my hand. But it shoots accurately and functions fine even real dirty.

Good .454 loads with jacketed bullets always ran fine for me and shot almost into the same hole! For economy I want some home cast that approach the same accuracy performance with reliability in the bank vault tight M83.
