for hunting. We both agree typically that would be a good .300-.388 bolt gun with good optic magnification range. But we are Misfits. He has the Blazer in 9.3X62 and I have a BRNO .416 Rigby. Such is life. My current glass is a Leupold VXIII 1.5-5X that runs short when ranges get closer to 200 yds.

Scopes like mine bring outlandish prices on Ebay. I think I can sell it and fetch more than enough to get a good VXII 3-9X 40mm or even a VXIII 3.5-10X. That would really help me to see better if eye relief can be managed.

I love the Rigby and don't know if I should go that route or leave it as is and drop to my beloved M98 in .30-06. It has a fine classic Redfield 3-9X 40 already. Not a bad brace for hunting and world trotting fantasies.
