As an African plains game rifle. If I can make the trip, something along the lines of a 30-06, 300 win mag with 3.5x10 or 4x12-40 mm scope. I would love to take everything with the 378GNR Encore pistol, but need a powerful enough back up, just in case. A 30 cal with good 180 grain bullets, should be fine as a hopefully not used backup. I actually like the 06.
