.. on a classic configuration along this same idea. I've got a nice shooting stainless 3 screw trigger Savage in a B&C stock. I was thinking about switching it to a 30-06 with a muzzle break and an 1-4 Leupold scope. Maybe iron sights with a peep for the rear just for giggles. I have everything on hand except for getting the muzzle break done.

For a bolt together kit it could be a lot of fun.
