One of the online dealers had the Retro SBH on for $399 delivered. I ordered one with the intent of using it for a base gun. Around home a used Blackhawk cost that by time tax is added.

When the gun arrived, it was one of the best built Rugers I have ever seen. Tolerances are all right on par with the high dollar guns.

I've never been in love with the 44 Magnum, but own a few of them. Haven't shot it much due to lack of interest in it. I just can't bring myself into taking it apart to build something else out of. I'd love to add a 44-40 cylinder to it if it would chamber .431" bullets.
