some Garrett 330 grain superhammerheads. Been wanting to see how they would do on a big boar. I keep them around for black bear so I figure if they will take down a big hog they will do the same for 250 pound bear. I carried into alaska in 2003 and thought I was ok for anything. NOPE, fishing on a stream and met a brownie up close and personal, he did not see me and may have only caught a scent as he stood up and sniffed the air then dropped down on all fours and waddled off upstream from me. I knew then that I was under gunned so I had a superblackhawk made into a 510 GNR and tested it on a BIG hog at the next handgun hunt and it was a one shot DRT. After that I always carried the 510 but have still wondered about the Garrett ammo on something like a big hog. I hope to find out in a few weeks. If you want to shoot some I will bring extra ammo.
