My story

I was seeing a Endocrinologist every 4 months (now 6). He put me on the spot because my weight had started to creep up. He said no more carbs. Breakfast 2 eggs, piece of real cheese and half of avocado. No bread, rice, potatoes, bakery, pasta no carbs period. That includes macoroni and cheese folks. Trust me there enough hidden carbs. If you must have pizza thinest of the thin crust and then only a small portion. Mashed califlower instead of mashed potatoes. This Thursday we bring the cauliflower mash. Grandkids actually like. Switching from a biscuit to bagel is no gain. It has to be a life style change or forget it. You have the fat DNA it has to be. I had dropped 45 LB over a 10 years but as a reach 60 it was harder. In the last 4 months I have lost 20 lbs. My fasting sugary has dropped from 120 to 96. I am fitting in blue jeans I haven't wore in 10 years. I can now EDC better. Quitting carbs is like stop smoking. You will never quit until you want to. By the way I take blood pressure medication always have since my twenties and always will. Not a bad thing it protects the organs. Every night after work I do 3 miles on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weight training. Like my doctor said you can be on insulin in 1 one year or 10 your choice. Sorry about the rant.
