I own 40 hunting handguns. 2 44 specials,, 4 44 mags, 4 45 colts, 2 475 Linebaugh, 1 457 GNR and others. If you want true power go with an Encore in something like 450 GNR, 416 Taylor, or 50 Alaskan. In revolvers for hunting only the 457 GNR has little equal, but is very limited in versatility. Of the cartridges mentioned a 5 shot 45 Colt is hard to beat. 1440 fps with a 335 gr. bullet or 750 fps with 250 gr. bullet. Make the gun and load fit the game.
