Thanks for your post Jason. I do think I prefer the recoil response of a lower pressure round.

I say this as though I have seasoned experience with big bore revolvers of all shapes and sizes, which isn't true - but the 454 I shot (a Redhawk Alaskan) and even the ported and compensated 460 S&W I shot had a 'sharp' recoil response if that makes sense.
